I volunteered to make the cakes for my DD and our neighbors DD birthday party. Then I realized I'll be out of town and will get back on Saturday afternoon and the party is Sunday afternoon. Now I know I could definitely bake them (2 cakes and a set of cupcakes) that afternoon, but so I don't have to rush, could I make them the weekend before, freeze them, and then thaw the day before when I get back? Thanks!

    You can definately freeze them prior to decorating.  Decorate when a knife will insert w/ no resistance, and the outside is room temp.
