Anyone ever sneeze and pull a stomach muscle?

I am beginning to think that thats why my stomach is hurting ( earlier I posted about the possible braxton Hicks contractions) but then I remembered that yesterday i had a real horrendous sneeze that caught me off guard and I didn't hold my stomach like I usually do, well when I sneezed I felt two sharp pains right were the pain is at now.Like I blew my sneeze out usuing my stomach. Sounds wierd I know, but I'm almost sure Imust have just strained a muscle doing that.

  • Did the same thing this morning in the bathtub and thought I was going to die, but the pain went away after a few....You might want to call the dr. if it's still hurting....

  • I hate when I forget to hold my stomach when I sneeze....it feels like knifes in your ovaries or something...with that said, I have never been sore the next day from it.

  • sounds like round ligament pain to me.

if it's contant and for a few days then def get it checked out.

  • Not pulled a muscle, but I've had sneezes trigger RLP before.  Maybe that is what you are feeling?
  • II get sharp pains on one side when I sneeze as well...I think it triggers RLP as well.
  • well that would make sense considering those muscles and ligaments are already porbably strained from the increasing extra weight. It seems to be better now that I took some tylenol, but if it gets worse or I still have it tomm. I will no doubt call the doctor.
  • I did the same thing last week on Friday.  Saw stars and everything...it was crazy!  I got out of bed Saturday morning and thought I was going to die from the pain it was so intense.  It still hadn't gone completely away yesterday so I called my dr. and they had me come to the office so they could check it out.  Turns out it's just ligament pain and/or a slightly pulled muscle.  No lifting for a few days and just overall taking it easy but the baby is great!  (FHR=158, mommy was a little stressed)  Today I am 100% better!  If the pain doesn't go away I would call your doctor just to be sure!
  • No (thankfully) but I do sniss (sneeze pisss) which is pretty awful... I agree with the ladies.  RLP.
