my mom has a habit of e-stalking me and then incessantly commenting/messaging me....i was so happy she hadn't discovered facebook.

today i get message from someone i didn't recognize, so i sent a message back saying "WTH are you? do i know you?"...though i knew it was my mom because it was an alias she used to try and get to be able to read my friends-only online journal a year ago. yes, she has aliases for this purpose.

not 20 minutes later my mom has a facebook page and wants to friend me. i am so NOT friending her (and yeah i sound about 13 when i say it that way, i know).

we have a terrible relationship and she only started to care and even invite me to family holidays (except for christmas. i'm still not allowed at her house on christmas day) after jack was born. ARGH!

ETA: i just went back on facebook and changed ALL the privacy settings to friends-only. :-( i hadn't wanted to have to do this there too...sigh.

Wow. I just denied a friend request from my first college roommate. She was NUTS, spread rumors about me and never talked to me again after we went our separate ways. I don't really hold anything against her now but why would I want to add her as a friend?

so this is totally materialistic, but you could always cash in on her newfound involvement...clothes, diapers. there's a bright side to everything...

i find it bizarre that she is extending this "olive branch" yet doesn't want you in her house on christmas?? so she wants to know what is going on in your life but doesn't want to involve you in hers?
