I'm debating. I"m on cycle 10. This is baby #2. I got pregnant with #1 right away. For some reason lately I'm having period issues - every 16-20 days!!!
That is a really short cycle. I just had my shortest cycle yet (which was 22 days), but I know I ovulated on cd 10 and had a 12 day lp so I still fall within "normal" ranges.
Even if you ovulated really early (cd 8), you LP would be way too short on those 16-18 day cycles. And if you're ovulating later, your LP's are always too short. I would definitely go see a doctor if I were you. Good luck!
We are adopting! Currently waiting for our domestic infant adoption match.
Have you tried charting to see if you are ovulating. Short cycles can sometimes be an indication of not ovulating. You can get some blood work to check your hormone levels.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I've been taking the ovp's. I couldn't see ovulation w/ them until I started using them twice a day and then I *think* I got a + on the 23rd in the am. The colors looked similar. So today would be like 6 days past ovulation .. . .

And OPK PREDICTS ovulation can happen within 12 to 48 hours post a +., only temping confirms it.
I have a short LP (10 days) and spotting between a pos. OPK and when I get my period. The first OB I went to told me to "just keep trying." The second OB couldn't find anything and referred me to an RE. I think you should definitely see a doctor, and if possible got to a specialist. You could chart too, but even without charting you know that something isn't right. GL!

See my response on TTC6+, which is also to start charting so you know your cycles.
