I just got what basically amounts to a lint roller on a long stick that I use almost daily to get rid of cat hair on the hardwood floors. It's quicker than vacuuming. We try and keep the cats out of the baby's room as much as possible (we keep the door shut) but other than that, I think it's unavoidable.
We are worried about this too. We have 3 very fluffy cats. They are into everything and their hair gets everywhere. I hope DS is not allergic to cats!!! Let me know if you find any good tricks!

I don't. I have a golden retriever, aka professional shedder. DD constantly has dog hair on her, her clothes, her toys, etc. I don't really care. I figure it's building up her immune system!
Hey send info my way! I have hard wood floors and havent figured it out yet. I cant go one day without vaccuming, and even that isnt enough! I just figured atleast my baby wont have allergies!
I have a lab who sheds constantly. ?Getting rid of him is not an option EVER. ?Try using a plain old comb everyday until you start to get less hair and then once or twice a week. ?It works for him but I am usually too lazy to keep up with it and I will only do it in the summer when it is warm out. ?Other than that, some extra hair adds cushioning to a hardwood floor, right?
Re: How do you keep pet hair off of baby items?
Wrap everything in plastic...
I think cat hair is just going to be part of baby's life.
I used to suck on our cat's head when I was a baby and I lived. lol
?
LMAO!!!! That's adorable!?
~after 34 cycles we finally got our 2nd little bundle of joy~
