OK, Diaper wipes question for diaper bag

Are you going to just haul around an entire case full wherever you go? Or are you going to find a smaller case to put some in?

I'm starting to envision this huge diaper bag in one hand and the car seat/baby in the other...  I better start lifting weights now.

Re: OK, Diaper wipes question for diaper bag

  • I put some wipes in a small carrying case, then just refill as necessary. It's easier and doesn't take up alot of room. You can find them at BRU and Target.
  • Loading the player...
  • Just get the skinny little diaper wipes case, and refill as you need!!
  • they make small travel size one's. We bought one small container and will just refill it.?
  • They have at BRU this travel wipe case, and I guess if I know I'm going to be gone for a long time with baby I could keep a case in the car for emergencies...

I have a list of diaper bag supplies so I'm trying to go by that because I am an overpacker to the max!!!

  • Check out this website. I got a 'diapees and wipee's thingy now I just need a slim case for the wipes. But this site is way cool, could be addicting. Embarrassed

  • My diaper bag came with a slim case and I will be using that.

This.  I got a Petunia Pickle Bottom boxy backpack and it has a small wipes case, so I figure I will just put a few in each time I refill the diapers in the bag and we'll be good to go.

  • you can buy a disposable small case and just refill it when its empty, that's what I am doing.
  • I'll just have the small case in the bag.  I will probably have a bigger size in the car as a back up and handy for clean ups in the car.

Oooo good to know! I will check it out. Thanks.

  • My favorite diaper-bag wipes are in the travel toiletries section at Target--you get 20 for $1, they're nice and thick, and the small square packaging is really flexible--unlike the hard-sided travel pack from Pampers that most people have.

  • My diaper bag came with a wipe case so I will be putting wipes in that. You may be able to by these seperate...
  • I found that the hard cases where you can refill them with wipes allow the air to get in. The wipes dry out. I also buy the Target ones or the pampers ones that come in a small pack with a releasable lid.

The other thing I've done is take a ziploc and just pulled some wipes out of the big container and put them in the ziploc.

  • I bought one of those small made for diaper bag plastic containers. It holds a good amount of wipes and came with Pampers Sensitive wipes in them. I found it at Target by the travel size stuff (shampoo, tooth paste, etc.) it was only $1.00!!! I thought it was a great deal and I am using those wipes at home anyway. HTH

  • My diaper bag came with a plastic case for wipes.  I will either use that or buy the travel pack of Huggies wipes.  It is a plastic bag or whatever and has a plastic lid on top.  I used that a lot with my youngest and liked it since the plastic cases can sometimes pop open pretty easy.
  • As a second time mom, I can tell you that those small plastic cases are not the greatest.  They do allow the wipes to dry out and if you are out for awhile and encounter a real blow out, they don't do the job....there aren't enough wipes.

I highly recommend either the small huggies packages in Target or I ended up using a BJ's brand refill and once it was half full at home, it became the next one in the diaper bag...didn't dry out, more flexible and could have a lot of wipes with me.  You need them for EVERYTHING...not just poop!  You wipe tables, faces, stroller trays, hands, your hands....etc.

I agree!! Those plastic wipe totes are cute but really not practical. I use costco wipes. I just use my half full pack for the diaper bag. You will be amazed how may wipes you can go through!

  • I just transfered some into a small case that I bought at the dollar store.  It worked well with DS.
  • I always liked the wipes from costco that came in the baggie type of case for toting around.  Similar to the $1 target toiletries version, only full size.
  • At first I used the travel wipes holder but they always got dried out. Now that my dd is 2, and we keep losing the wipes holder, I throw some wipes in a ziploc, throw 2 diapers in my purse and we are off. I'm so dreading starting over again with a HUGE diaper bag, but early on, it's very necessary.

  • I've tried a few different travel cases and have found that after a while they don't close very well and the wipes dry out. The best solution I have found is to take baby wipes from my full size package, fold them in half, and store them in a resealable sandwich bag. It's compact, it works well, and it's cheap.
