Every Friday, on the radio on my way to work, they ask why are you smiling? people and call in and answer... This usually includes new babies, new pregnancies, getting married this weekend, going to Vegas this weekend, etc etc..... And let me tell you, the smiling is contagious! So I'm going to do it here too..,.
So Preemie Board... Let's share good news, big and small. We could all use it, right? Tell me!
Why are you smiling????
Re: TGIF... Why are you smiling?
My Blog
Because Ruby started saying Da Da this week, AND pushing up on her knees to crawl! I can't believe how fast she's growing up!
And, I have a four day weekend! yay!
Alex is napping and I am finally able to do some spring cleaning. ( I know it doesn't sound fun but we moved in here while I was on bed rest and have not even unpacked everything. I figure if I haven't used it this long the I don't need it!!
and because a certain preemie princess is doing so well off O2
I have a huge grin on my face! These are all so great!
1. My baby brother, a spoiled rotten but brilliant brat who has never had to work for anything in his life is graduating from Marine Corps Basic Training next week. I am SO proud of him! (albeit terrified that he'll be in the middle east soon)
2. My boys are doing so well. In the last week or so, Drake has suddenly picked up a few words - hello, byebye, eat, dada, that?, and he meows at our cat. Leo is WALKING! My tiny guy with muscle tone problems is walking - and he did it almost "on time". It's just amazing.
3. My dudes are taking a long nap, and I finally have a few minutes to screw around on the computer and scrub our dirty house.
DDs fever seems to have broken and she acts like she is feeling better today.
And I FINALLY bought DD her convertible car seat! She is nearly 14 months adjusted/16.5 months actual and almost 21 lbs. and I was getting mighty tired of getting her in and out of her infant seat! I don't care if she technically hasn't outgrown its limits. I'l still have her RF for quite some time in the new seat, but I think she is going to be much more comfortable! And that makes me happy.
Hollyoid! You're doing so great, and it gives me hope for the next time around for me.
Thanks for sharing everyone!
Ravens Girl...are you talking about MY preemie princess? ?If so, THANK YOU! ?If not, well...um...I knew that.
I am smiling because Keira has gone a total of THREE nights without needing her O2 and because Claire just came up to kiss me and tell me I'm "the best mom EVER." ?aww....
**can we do this every friday???*?
Yes!!! We need as much good news as we can get right?
well of course!!! she is doing so great!!
Because I just found out for sure that I can deduct all of our medical mileage on our income tax returns for last year. That is a boatload of money we will be saving (or should I say that we will not owe).
Our NICU was 98 miles round-trip for over 3 months and then another hospital although closer to home was another 3 weeks of commuting!

I am smiling because:
1. Every time I post I see my new siggy pic.
2. Cecilia is finally babbling and showing off her little personality.
3. It's Friday and we're getting a delicious fish fry tonight.
I needed this because it's been a pretty hard couple of weeks. I need to be reminded of all the great things in my life....
I am smiling because RSV is almost over and we will soon be able to go out and have Robinson and mommy adventures!!
FANTASTIC post, by the way!!
I am smiling...
1. because of getting to read all of your great news!
2. I got to go shopping with my mom today and she bought a cute easter outfit for Ryan
3. we get to finally do some yard work this weekend and since we bought our house right before DS was in the nicu we did not get to do any landscaping last summer and have been dying to do some all winter!
4. Ryan learned so much this week! Taking baths in the big tub, crawling on his knees rather than his belly, going from a crawl to a sit, and we are working on how to back down off the furniture!
HAPPY FRIDAY and keep smiling!
