My first contractions started at 4 am, but they went away by 9 am. They came back and then were consistent around 2:30 that afternoon. I was admitted to the hospital at 11pm that night.

dont ask. my labor went on and off for 8 days. (12-24 hour shifts and then 12-24 hour breaks) It got worse at night though...

My water broke/contractions started at 10:30p.m. Worst timing ever, in my opinion, because we were up all night! Since my water broke, we went in pretty much right away, then were up all night walking the halls since my contractions progressed pretty quickly...

hmmmm... i had contractions for almost 2 days... but i'd say they really picked up in the afternoon (and then i went to the hospital at about midnight, and had Liam at about 11am).

11 pm - I went to bed at 10 that night and my water broke at 11. I agree that that timing stinks. I had a whole hour of sleep to get me through the next day. The nurse who admitted me told me, " It was def. your water breaking and you'll be having a baby tomorrow... but try to get some sleep!" Even though I couldn't feel contractions sleep at that point was impossible!

I was sent to the hospital by my OB at my 3pm appointment for being 5-6cm and not even knowing it. didn't get put in an evaluation room until 4:30 (very busy there). he broke my water around 7:30...then actually started feeling real strong contractions.
