For the last week we have been having major nap issues with DD. She just doesn't want to ever sleep. She hasn't napped yet today (been up since 7) which means she will again take 1 and then want to go to bed super early and have sleep issues. She used to take a nap from around 10-12 and then again from 3-4 or 4:30 and then down for the night at 7:30 and STTN. Lately she is maybe napping from 11:30 or 12 till 1 and that is it for the day. We have to fight her to bed (last night we started at 7 and she screamed so we caved and brought her out and did this routine 3-4 times till eventially DH rocked her to sleep at 10). She woke up 5-6 times screaming and then up for the day at 7. She is eating normally and we think she is working on her top 2 teeth (maybe more, no idea because we can't ever see in her mouth). Any advice on the naps? Anyone else run into these issues at 10 months
Re: Napping issues and now not STTN
It sounds like she might be overtired in addition to teething.
I am pretty strict about naps at 9:30 and 1:30. Even if DS doesn't want to go down, I just keep soothing him until he calms down and eventually gets drowsy. Sometimes it takes up to 30 minutes, but its worth it because he needs the sleep, and I firmly believe sleep begets sleep!
Good luck
