Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Tonight will be our first night Ferber-izing.

:: cue screechy horror movie music ::

Uggggg I am not looking forward to it.  DS has fallen asleep in our arms every night of his life and he gets piiiiiiiiiissed if we take too long to come "rescue him" from his crib when he wakes up in the middle of the night.

I know he's old enough, I know it's what's best for him in the long run, but I know that tonight my baby is going to be crying and not knowing why we're not picking him up to comfort him, and that makes me sad.  Sad

  • It's awful to hear. Get yourself some wine.

Honestly the best thing that ever happened to us. She is a different child. I am so glad we did it. Good luck!

  • Good luck! ?Natalie has slept so much better and been a much happier baby during the day after we did it. ?It surprisingly didn't take as long as I had feared; I hope that's the same for you.

  • night one was hell. yesterday was night 2 and it was incredible. he was asleep within 25 min. that was about 9:30, he woke up at about midnight, cried for 2 min, stopped before i got to his room and slept til 5:45. i fed him at that point, then he went back to sleep til 8:45. it was great!

  • Good luck! Tonight is our night 6 and so far so good. I've been blogging about it every day, if you want some stories and encouragement.
