Finally - gender determined! U/S pics in post!

After a very disappointing 18 week U/S on Wednesday (the tech couldn't see the gender, and it was the last scan of the pregnancy), I sucked it up, drove 2 hours to another city, and paid $80 for a 3D scan yesterday. The tech was great and spent half an hour just trying to get the baby to roll into the right position. After all that, we finally found out we're having a little GIRL!!!! I'm so excited, because as much as I always said I'd be thrilled with a boy or a girl, I think part of me me always wanted a girl (is that bad to say? oh well).

Anyways, here are a couple pictures from the scans, one from the 2D and one from the 3D (warning: my baby looks like a slightly creepy alien in the 3D pic).

Congratulations!! I'm suppose to go to UC Baby next week to find out the gender of our baby and it's costing me way more than $80. Just curious, what was included with the $80 package and which clinic did you go to? It was my understanding from their website that the prices were the same across Canada.

I went to UC Baby, and when I called and said I JUST wanted to find out the gender, they quoted me a price of $70. It included a 10 minute scan (which turned into a half hour bc the baby wasn't being cooperative), and also included the option to come back for free one time if they can't figure out the sex on the first visit. It also included one 3D picture, but I paid for a 2nd for $5, which brought my total with taxes to about $80.

I went to the clinic in Windsor, so you should call them and see what price they quote you. Then call your local clinic and tell them what price you got quoted, and hopefully they'll match it. It would be strange if the same company varied prices across Canada....

Awww! I am so glad that you found out! It is cute that she was just being a little lady even in the womb. I go back for big US #2 in less than two weeks!
