Anyone have a Quinny Buzz?

SIL/BIL are thinking of buying one and asked me to get opinions from the nesties. ?Is it a good stroller? ?Are you happy with it? ?Inconviences?

Re: Anyone have a Quinny Buzz?

  • I have one, an older model-2006 maybe? I like it a lot, it looks cool and rides like a dream, really great over bumpy terrain and pavement-I started out with a Graco Quattro and I can see a HUGE difference in the ride.

The cons are that personally I don't find the fold down too easy. The unfolding couldn't be easier, it's pretty much automatic, but the fold down is a PITA for me...I think it has something to do w/me only being 5'1, my arms just aren't long enough to get a good hold. Also the stroller doesn't come with a basket underneath, you have to pick one up aftermarket. Lastly, the wheelbase is a bit wide and can be cumbersome in tight spaces.

Despite the above, I really like the stroller and would recommend it!

  • LOVE mine. ?I actually think it folds very easily once you get the hang of it, but I'm pretty tall, so maybe that has something to do with it. ?Because of my height, one of my favorite features is the handlebar that can extend. ?It keeps me from hitting my legs on the back of the stroller when I walk. ?Like pp mentioned, it steers like ?a dream. ?It's also very durable and will last a long time.

Mine is a 2008 and it came with a basket. ?It's a small basket, but I've never found it to be an issue. ?I actually use stroller hooks a lot when we're out, and my diaper bag just slides over the handlebar. ?I do agree that the wheelbase is larger than most strollers, making it a tad difficult to get around in tight spaces, like small store aisles, but it's not that bad to me.

I give it two thumbs up :)?

  • I babysat for a family with a Quinny Buzz, so used it every week pretty extensively. I liked it, but didn't love it.

    Pros: smooth ride, comfy seat/bassinet

Cons: HEAVY, wide wheelbase, annoying fold, small basket

When choosing a stroller myself, I narrowed it down to the Bugaboo Cameleon and UppaBaby Vista (we live in the city, so the stroller is our primary mode of transportation most of the time!) I chose the UppaBaby for a variety of reasons, and couldn't be happier. The Quinny would have been 4th or 5th on my list.

  • LOVE IT!  DH and I are both tall and it works like a dream for both of us. I had a Bugaboo and sold it because of the ease of use with the Quinny. We also had the Maxi Cosi infant car seat that works on the Buzz base.
