Rec. your vacuum, please!

Sat. is DS's first b'day party I have to clean the house and sure enough...my vacuum died today. It is a Shark with a PITA filter that I have to order online and only lasts for a few months at a time.

I really need a vacuum that will work great on carpet and hardwoods that has a washable filter or even bag at this point--so I don't have to order online! I am not interested in a Dyson because of the price.

She said NOT a Dyson!! (which is what I have) My friend has a Kirby and loves it. I'm not sure what model or what the price is though. I know it's less expensive than a Dyson.

Oops sorry I didn' tread that part.Although you said no to a dyson, they have one that is $200 which is about what you would pay for any other. The vaccuum is really an investment but sorry I don't have any recs!

You said no Dyson, but i would check the sale flyers. I got my Dyson Animal for 230 on sale at Kohls!!!
