  • I like old fashioned names. Of these I like Amelia the best.. its on my list too.

  • I love Lydia, Amelia, and Stella.  Particularly Stella and Amelia.  They seem like sweet, old fashioned names, but ones which are going to stand the test of time.  You can picture a little girl with those names, but you can also picture a CEO.  (maybe Lydia a little less so than the other three)

Dahlia and Scarlett seem a bit like they're trying too hard.  Scarlett is just Gone with the Wind to me.

Sophie I have issues with, but I think they're my own personal issues.  I think it's a beautiful, adorable name.  But it does somehow seem juvenile to me.  It also seems like it should be a nickname for Sophia, even though I know it's not.

I like Amelie, but it does not seem in the same category as all the other names you suggested.  I don't really think it would be mispronounced, though.  Don't you think enough people would have seen that movie that came out a few years ago?

  • I like Scarlett and Sophie but Scarlett Amelie sounds better than Sophie Amelie

  • 1. Lydia - like it

    2. Amelia - like it

    3. Dahlia - don't like it

    4. Scarlett - don't like it - I associate it with Scarlett O'Hara and I just think it's too dramatic or something.

    5. Sophie -  pretty, but too common

    6. Stella - love it!  This is one of my favorite girl names.  It's a very pretty, classic name that isn't overused.

  • I like them all, except Dahlia... that just makes me thinks of the black Dahlia.
  • I love Lydia. I would have been on our shortlist if we were having a girl.
