Making the switch to a midwife

I just scheduled my next appointment to be with the midwives at my hospital instead of with the OBs I've been seeing.  It's not that I dislike my OBs, but as this pregnancy has progressed and I've learned more about labor and delivery, DH and I have changed our minds about what it is exactly that we're looking for from our health care provider.  I'm so excited for my first appointment with them!

    My BFPB/ labor buddty did this in her first tri and was so happy.

    I wish I could switch as well, they seem so much more involved in you personally.

    Good luck to you! I go to a practice with 3 midwives and they are wonderful!  My appointments are almost an hour long. They really take their time!

    I could have written your post word for word :) We have our last Ob appointment next Wed and then I have a midwife appointment 2 weeks later :) I am SO excited to be in a more supportive environment for the type of birth I want that will make our choices feel like they're NORMAL and not abnormal.

    Good luck! I love my midwives and have never regretted chosing to go with them.
