Vomiting but acting normal?

JD vomited for the first time ever on Tuesday. But wasn't running a fever and was otherwise acting normal.

Last night he was very crabby and trying to gnaw on everything in sight so I gave him some Motrin before bed for his teeth. He was happier after I gave him the Motrin and slept all night.

This morning we get up at 6:00 and I give JD his 6 oz bottle. He got about half way through and sat up. Pushed the bottle away like he was done. He sneezed, coughed a couple of times and threw up everything he had just eaten... I know they always say it seems like it was the whole bottle but it really was. It soaked both his clothes and mine!

I plan to call the pedi when they open but what do you girls think? Anybody been through anything similar? Still no fever and, other than puking, acting normal.

ETA: He was also not eating very well last night. Would only take about an ounce or so of formula before refusing the rest of his bottle. He did better after the Motrin, though so i kind of attributed that to his teeth hurting him....????

  • I know dd will do this sometimes if she is congested, especially first thing in the morning.  She'll drink, cough, vomit, and sneeze. I think in our case, it's b/c there is so much stuff draining into her stomach and the combination of that with the formula causes the vomit.  Has he been congested from the teething?
