i
love nature names! every time i post on here, though, people are like
"that's not a name, it's a word!" i like willow and lily but i've heard
them way too much to use them. my favorite name for a girl is bay,
which will be the name of our first girl. for boys, (most of you will
hate them, just a warning) i love fox, wolf (dh likes it spelled
wolfe), field, moonglow, and i like the nickname bunny for a girl.
i
am german, so that's why i love wolf, and native american, hence the
other names. at least that's my excuse, i'm hardly native american so i
just say that if people act like the names are odd.
as far
as too popular in our area/ trendy nature names that i would not use
but still like: river, birch, lake, reed, bear, winter, and meadow (for
a girl, too bad it spiked in poularity after being on sopranos).

I had a friend in HS named Moonray, pronounced Munrey.
The moment a child is born,
the mother is also born.
She never existed before.
The woman existed, but the mother, never.
A mother is something absolutely new.
That reminds me of Moonbeam in the movie PCU. ?haha That's a funny movie though.
The names of our future children are not completely 'normal' in this country, but I don't plan on asking the Nest for opinions on them. *lol* What possesses people to do that? ?If you have weird names picked out, and you like them, use them. ?What's getting negative feedback going to accomplish??
In touch with nature much? If the child doesn't like the name they can sue to change it because it is a form of child abuse. There are actual cases where the child has won the case because Talula does the Hula (as the first name) was too much for the kid to handle.

I knew a girl in high school who's brother's name was Field. It suited him, but I can't imagine many people being able to pull off that name. He was a big punk-hippie, so it fit. A dorky mathlete would probably want to murder his parents for a name like that.
The others are just awful, unless your last name happens to be Mulder or Blitzer. WTF is wrong with people??
Contemplating the snow.

Moonglow?? That's a bit much, but I have seen some of the other's pulled off successfully....however, the only thing that is running through my head after reading the first post is:
"Hippie, Hippie, Shake"
