Label all clothing for daycare?

I bought some iron ons with DD's name on it with the expectation that they would work, and I could label all her clothing, including socks, with her name.

Well, I tried them earlier and they were very annoying! Some worked, some didn't, and then the thought of doing them on EVERY sock ...blech.

Did you label DC's socks as well? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Re: Label all clothing for daycare?

  • i label socks with sharpie. ?otherwise, i only label jackets or sweatshirts.
  • Loading the player...
  • i don't label socks. if he loses one i won't really care...
  • I label bottles, coats, shoes, blankets and clothes (only the ones that I especially like) by writing with Sharpie her initials on the tags.  I don't care if I loose a couple of socks and have never ever labeled socks. When you pick your baby up if they are missing anything, I just asked about it right away and this helped to eliminate lost items.
  • The only thing I have labeled for my girls are their coats and nap blankets.  I try to remember to get their hats but honestly, it doesn't happen.  Oh, I labled their winter boots I think.  I should probably lable more but honestly, I could care less if I lose a sock or something.  Twice my older DD has lost something we though - a spring coat and hat and both had accadentally gone home with another kid and both were returned within a few days.  My older DD knows what her stuff looks like and we have a lost and found at school and honestly, the parents are pretty honest (so far) if something comes home that is not theres.
