What is your average WPM in typing?

I just took a 3 min timed writing test.  I made 2 errors and had an average of 53 WPM(words per min).  I thought that was pretty fast.  

I wonder what the average is.

    Looked into it.  50-70 is the average for "professional" typist.  An average person is 30-40.

    I have no idea, but I think I can thank my semi quick typing skills to AIM, and so many damn papers in college.

    I think I remember my last test being in the high 60's. I did grow up with a keyboard in my hands, though, and had typing classes from 3rd grade to 7th grade.

    I type an average of 70-80 wpm with less than 2% error margin.My husband jokes that it sound like I'm just banging my fingers on the keyboard when I type lol!

    A couple of times I've gotten a WPM of 98. But usually it's high 70s and 80s. In middle and high school, they use to turn off our monitors and type whatever they gave us.

    I took a test a while back.  It said I typed around 62 wpm.  DH types 98 wpm.
