I was in a minor car accident last night and when I finally spoke to the on call doctor, he said that as long as I felt fine and the baby was still moving, I should be fine and wouldn't need to come in. I don't know if I'm being paranoid, but I SWEAR there's less fetal movement than normal. I'm freaking myself out but I don't know if it's valid....
Re: Car accident last night...less fetal movement
I am so sorry to hear it. I know at 22 weeks, fetal movement is so sporadic, its hard to tell. But use your instincts on this one. IF something feels weird, go to the doctor/ER.
Good luck. Thoughts and prayers for you.
I'm also 22 weeks and the fetal movement is different throughout the day. I would use a time where you know that the baby is consistently moving for me that would be the afternoon to use that as a point of comparison. Also, try some orange juice to see if baby responds. Give it a few minutes though, it doesn't always happen immediately with the juice or something really sugary.?
I was in a minor fender bender with my first and my Dr. told me to go straight to l&d jut to be put on the monitor for an hour. Go with your gut.
ETA: I was only 17/18 weeks at the time.
I would say to trust yourself - you know your body and your baby. Don't feel bad about being better safe than sorry. GL and I hope you feel better - I'm sure baby's fine but do what you need to do to have peace of mind!
