High-Risk Pregnancy

I won't take a nap, I won't, I won't.

Okay my mom and dad just left, they came over with lunch  and hung out for a bit. It was nice cause DH is doing a guy thing tonight so it was great to break up the day.

Anyway, lately it's like I need an afternoon nap, usually after lunch and then I finally feel awake around 5:00. Then I have a hard time getting to sleep at night or sleep like crap.

So today I didn't get to sleep and I'm so exhausted now. But I''m going to do everything I can to stay awake until bed time.

Oh and then i slept awful on Wed night so I slept a ton yesterday and didn't drink enough. My B/P was 86/54 at my NST yesterday. Yeah I was a little dehydrated. I was afraid my Dr was gonna make me stay with an IV.

My clock is so screwed up being on BR, it's driving me crazy. The less you do the more tired you get. Ugh...

What kind of sleep cycle do you keep?

Re: I won't take a nap, I won't, I won't.

  • I know what you mean- I get exhausted during the day, too. I fall asleep between 10-11 each night and then wake up about 7am. I usually doze off between 2-3 in the afternoon for an hour or so. If I sleep any longer than that, I'll be up all night.

My dr gave me some Ambien to take as needed and that definitely helps. Maybe you could see if your dr will give you some?!? It's been a lifesaver for me for those nights where I have a million things running through my head!

  • It's so weird to be so sleepy from doing nothing. I  mean I know I have a little life growing inside me and that would suck a lot out of me. But man I'm more tired now then I was when I working FT and on my feet all day.

I actually do take something for sleep, and honestly if it weren't for that, I probably wouldn't get to sleep until after 1:00 am.

Some days I sleep until 9:30, get up eat,do some internet, take a shower, have lunch and I'm ready to sleep again and usually do for about 1-2 hours.

I  just wish I could put the day time sleepiness off till the night time and just get a good solid 10 hours at night and be good all day. I guess that would be asking for too much, huh? LOL.

  • I feel you. My schedule is so screwy at the moment. Ive had days when I cant sleep til 6am because Ive napped too much. hen of course I sleep til noon (which is NOT enough sleep) so I have to take yet another nap.

    Vicious cycle I tell you.

  • yeah, totally...I'm hoping I'm breaking it a little today by not napping at all...I'm so ready for bed right now though. But I'm going to change my sheets and take a shower, so by then I think the timing should work out pretty good.

It's so easy to take a nap on BR, what else is there to do?

Hope you can get some normal sleep soon. Being up all night  is the worst. I think it's a little different when the baby comes. Just laying there doing nothing is the worst and it's so lonely.
