I have read through the whole thing twice and can't figure out if they are looking for a nanny or receptionist? A nanny who is also a receptionist? I am trying to avoid asking, bc I don't want to look like an idiot who can't figure out a job listing.. but maybe I am missing something!
Re: WDYT? Is this job for a nanny or a receptionist?
lol what the heck was that?!?!
i am guessing that they are really hurting for applicants so they are "trying" to advertise toward a different population and by comparing receptionist qualities with nanny qualities, they are hoping that they will persuade? haha... it's really strange though...
i actually looked at the ABC nanny website before and contemplated it~ because i loved being a nanny when i was one for a short time after college but it didn't pay enough for me and found another job that paid higher...
so weird!
see...i took it the complete opposite way, so i would just call them and ask haha~ the ABC nanny is specific for live out nannies~ and the way they are describing it, it sound like they are just trying to appeal to a different crowd
Ditto. Sounds like they are looking to hire nannies, but are trying to appeal to a different crowd. They are making the comparisons to show "receptionist applicants" that they may me more qualified for the job than they thought. ?
The O'Baby Blog
I think they are multi tasking, which is a bad thing to do in a classified.
1- the nanny firm is looking for a receptionist
2- the nanny firm is looking for more nannies
You can try calling someone at Careerbuilder instead of the company...that way the company will never know.
I used to be an account manager for Careerbuilder and the account managers help write the jobs for the companies. If you call, ask to speak with the RBU account manager group...or ask for the account manager who manages the Nanny company account. Maybe they can point you in the right direction and the nanny company never has to know that you called. Juat my $0.02.
I thought receptionist until I got 3/4 of the way through the ad...I think they want former receptionists who want a career change.
Definately the most unclear job posting I've seen.
Well it's interesting... I am a nanny right now but looking for a new job to start after my baby is born so I can bring my baby with me. OR I am considering an admin job and put my baby in daycare. (I'm not going to nanny and put my baby in daycare.. that would feel too weird). So really, I am interested in either position! lol.. I guess I could apply for both!!
