2nd Trimester

Is this type of pain normal?

So I'll probably post this again tomorrow when more people are on but....

The last couple days I've had that "I have to pee NOW because it hurts so bad" type of feeling - you know how you can hardly move or walk because you feel like your bladder is going to explode and there's so much pressure it hurts? Well I pee all day long and no matter how much I empty my bladder or how much there ISN'T in there, I still have that pain. I'm thinking it's nothing and not to be worried - plus I have a dr's appointment tomorrow  but does anyone else have it??

EDIT: IT'S NOT A UTI - sorry, should've said that in the beginning!

Does it hurt to urinate too? If so, it may be a UTI.

I feel like I have to pee every 10 minutes, no matter how much I've had to drink. It doesn't hurt, so I'm hoping it just means she's lying really low on my bladder? I'd def ask your Dr about it tomorrow.

  • Sounds like a UTI.  Have you ever had one before?

  • I've felt that way a couple times, but if it were happening often I'd mention it at your appt tomorrow just to be sure you don't have a UTI or anything.?

    GL. Hope its nothing!! ?

  • Definatly say something to your dr tomorrow, sounds like a UTI.
  • It doesn't really sound like a UTI to me, unless it actually hurts to pee, so you are probably okay.

Just a thought:  It is possible that you actually aren't emptying your bladder all the way, even if you feel like you can't pee anymore; sometimes the baby's weight or position interfers with muscle & nerve coordination.  Try tipping slightly forward on the toliet or literally using your hands to lift up your belly.  This will shift the baby off of the muscles around your bladder and allow you to actually empty it.  That may not be what is causing the pain, but it's a possibility.

  • Oh gosh - I realize I should've said IT'S NOT A UTI - I've had them before, this is not the same kind of pain/pressure.... It's different. But yeah, I'm gonna ask the dr tomorrow just to be sure what the heck it is!

That sounds like a reasonable explaination! I think Bearkat posted a while back that she figured out to do that - but she couldn't pee at all! I'll try it next time it happens! Thanks!

  • I would bring it up to the Dr.

I had this feeling before, no UTI and it turned out to be a kidney stone.

I'm not saying it will be that, but I know that is the exact feeling I had when I had the stone.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I've had it the past couple of days, too. It's not the same as a uti pain...I had several of those pre-pg, too. I'm thinking it may just be the baby moving in a weird position.
