paypal fraud? anyone had to deal with this?
Has anyone ever had to deal with filing a claim with Paypal for unauthorized payments? I was just notified this past weekend of suspicious activity in my account (which I have only ever used for Ebay payments - the last of which was in Feb.)
Today, I noticed that a payment was processed with my checking account. I filed a claim with Paypal already and notified my bank - to which they told me "if you had notified us of this while the payment was pending, we could have stopped it, but because it already went through, you have to file a claim and wait for paypal to get the moeny back".
Paypal says it takes 7-10 days before I could get my money back, if it's ruled in my favor.....it better be!!!
I was just curious if anyone else had any experience with this? I'm not talking $50.......I'm talking $2,000 that was taken from my account. NOT HAPPY!

I just had to deal with filing a fraud claim with Paypal... They ruled in my favor pretty quickly (maybe 5 days) and I received my refund about 3-5 days after that. Overall, I was quite pleased with how fast and efficient they were with the ordeal.
