Question about DH's SA?

So he made his "contribution" to our cause today and I brought it to the lab...it seemed like a very little amount in the cup. ?The woman at the lab didn't say anything (but she had all the personality of a slab or cardboard, so she really didnt' say anything at all). ?

If your DH had an SA, about how much did you get for analysis? ?If you didn't manage to collect much at all, did that end up being part of the IF equation??

    My DH always thinks that there is not enough in the cup. He says it never covers the whole bottom of the container. We just had an IUI from "hardly any semen" and there were over 100million total motile from one shot! Your Dh probably is fine. I would not worry until you hear otherwise.

    Okay, that's good to know! It definitely covered the bottom of the cup, but not much more than that! ?Glad to hear that's not necessarily an issue!?

    they need to have between 2 and 4 ml. If you have a medicine syringe, put about 3 ml in a cup, and compare from memory. It really is not much.

    It was never anywhere near covering the bottom of the cup! I always wondered if that was a problem, and was afraid they'd say it wasn't enough, but it was always fine. His numbers were between 10 and 35 million - not amazing, but not a problem either.

    (And thank god they have no personality at the lab! Would you really want the lab people to make comments??)
