How many chicken nuggets can your 2.5 year old eat?

My friend (who has a 3 year old) was shocked when she heard that DS had eaten 6 chicken nuggets for lunch.  And today, he had seven.

Please don't answer this post with something condescending about fast food.  Just answer the question if you DO give your kid fast food.  Big Smile

    my not-yet-2 year old can eat 6 nuggets fairly predictably if she's hungry.

     

    we give her the dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets from costco - all white meat, no trans fat. still not health food but since she won't eat any other meat or protein and isn't overweight, i don't feel bad.

    DS usually only eats a couple, but has eaten as many as 5. He had 4 today in fact. LOL

    She can easily put away four, maybe five in one sitting if they're regular nuggets. If it's Chick-Fil-A she can eat six of them since they're so small. She'd eat popcorn chicken by the fistful if I let her. She loves her chicken (nuggets).

    about 3 nuggets, but he will also eat green beans, fruit, cookies and crackers in that same meal. lol, if he ate 6 nuggets he'd never poop again.

    my 3.3 year old eats 2 at the most.  She'll eat a few apple slices with it and a milk but has never had more than 2 (her choice).

    He usually only eats 2-3 (with some other stuff to make a full meal).

    DS almost never eats more than one thing during a meal.  So if we are out it's ALL nuggets or ALL fries.  And at home.. all chicken or all pasta or whatever.

    Of COURSE I was going to be snarky, but that's totally ruined now. Stick out tongue

    My 2.5 year old can eat about 2, maybe 3 if she's starving. But she's not a food person, so getting her to eat is generally an ordeal. But she did want the nuggets over a hamburger the other day.  And she didn't touch the french fries, which has me questioning if she's even mine.

    Usually 4 but sometimes more of less.  But if it's McDonald's he also eats some french fries and apple dippers - he has eaten 4 nuggets, fries and 2 packs of apple dippers.

    DS has eaten as many as 8 McD's chicken nuggets, but his norm is 4-6.  We once had to stop at the next exit on a road trip to get him more, he was so hungry!

    2 max usually--she'll eat a few apples & some fries too though.  My 4yr old would only eat 3-4 & all the apples...she doesn't like fries.

    DS usually will eat 2, maybe 3.  We can usually split a 6 piece between the 2 of us.

    How many CAN she eat? As many as she could get her hands on, probably. We always get the 4-pc (from McDs or Chick-fil-A) but I know she'd eat more if given the chance! I always make her 4 or 5 of the Purdue ones at home, but again, I know she'd eat more. She tends to overeat (not a problem for most toddlers, I know), hence why I cut her off.

    First, I'm jealous of ALL OF YOU!  My DS just turned 2, but is an extremely picky eater.  He will only eat chicken nuggets if I cut them into peices and dip them in ketchup.  He prefers the chicken breast strips over any fast food kind, any day.  He is MOST picky about meats, so this doesn't surprise me, but fast food or not, I LONG for the day that he is excited about a happy meal and EATS it :)

    That is the processed chicken being prepped to be put into the Chicken McNugget molds and cooked.  It's then breaded and flash frozen and ready to deep fry at the McDonald's!

    DS isn't a real big meat eater so he only eats around 3 or 4.
