Jells, the easiest thing is just to buy a wrist brace - I buy them at the drugstore or wherever I can find them (Walmart even has some).
Just make sure you get one designed more for carpal tunnel, so your hand doesn't flex back too far. It'll feel odd until you get used to it, but it's worth it.

so is that what the lightning bolts running up and down my right hand and wrist are? i didn't have any problems like this with my first PG....

It's certainly possible. I can always tell it's time for my brace when I get shooting pains and my fingers/hand start feeling tingly.
i don't know if it's tendonitis. it is only my joints that hurt... i think i will mention this to my dr. come to think of it, my knee was doing it the other day too.

Carpal tunnel is super common in pregnancy, woman.
I also developed tendonitis in my elbow from a long session of coding a few years back. It blows, but both of them can be treated.
