Belly button piercing scars...

Is anyone else dealing with this?

Since my belly is growing and so tight, my piercing scar (which I took out over 4 1/2 years ago) is really sensitive and red, and hurts to touch. It reminds me of the sensitivity it had after I got it pierced in the beginning.

I'm wondering if anyone knows why this is?

Mine's the same way. I think it's the scar tissue inside the hole stretching and breaking. Fun, huh?

Yes. I took mine out at about 9 weeks. It hurts on and off and looks really weird now. the skin that was peirced is red and kind of looks like its going to fall off. gross. my doc said it was fine but it looks weird. I hope yours stops hurting! I have no idea why its like that.

i couldn't tell ya why it is, but mine is funny too. it isn't too sensitive but it is red all around it. i only took mine out when the doctor made me, but still, it does look a bit funny.

Mine has been out for 12 years so no pain but it has stretched and looks really ugly.

I had the same problem at about 25 weeks, and I took it out at about 10 weeks.

It was almost like the red scar tissue from the inside was coming out... ewww... Super sensitive, so I would put Polysporin and a band-aid over it. Probably a no-no, but whatever. It seemed to heal whatever was the issue was, and is no longer an issue

i still have my belly ring in - but it's getting tight..I'm going to have to take iti out in a week or 2.

I got a pregnancy belly ring, it's plastic and longer...the regular size one was starting to cut into me at about 24wks. It's working. The hole is stretching though, and I hope it goes back! Because it's longer I catch it sometimes, which hurts, but other than that it doesn't.
