anyone do black crib & dresser?? what does the rest

of the room look like. just wondering what other people are doing. we will have white batten board & icey green walls w/ white trim (once it's painted).

we have black pic frames & some white antique shelves.  we'll use lavendar accents if it's a girl & light blue if it's a boy.  green sheets & covers in the meantime. 

anyway, just wondering what other people are doing with black furniture.

    I am doing black furniture for the baby. I want white bedding for a girl, not sure what for a boy yet. Walls are going to be beige (tan) color and decor modern sweet.

    We are doing a black crib, black changing table, white dresser, and this old white bureau that I've had since I was a little girl.  I'm so happy to use pieces of my furniture that still look cool.  My husband is in fact stripping anf sanding those 2 pieces now.  My bedding is Black and White.  We're not set on a wall color yet, but most likely a sagey green.  Then we'll have accents of pink. In fact I think our rooms seem pretty similar.  We are having some pictures blown up and put in black and white, with black frames and her name will be in black wooden letters somewhere.  My whole inspiration came from this painting I bought a while ago, with a butterfly that says "believe".  I love it!  I didn't want to over do the pink thing so this is the perfect way to still have femeninity but not over the top.

    I'm doing black furniture too.  The walls are a really light gray/silver color with white chair rail around the room.  The bedding is white except for the sheets which are watermelon pink for the girl and bright green for the boy.  I had originally planned on black and white bedding but didn't find one I was happy with for b/g twins.  Intead, I think we'll focus on black and white around the room with bright pink and bright green accents (wicker basket liners, artwork, names on the wall).

    I LOVE black furniture!

    sounds beautiful!  ours is espresso brown - looks black - and we have yellow walls, nickel hardware and lamps, and green/yellow/dark brown bedding
