Is that normal? I asked the dr. and he just shrugged and said, "Who cares? She looks great!" She was 22 inches at birth, and now she's 31 1/2 and 30 lbs.
At this rate, she's going to be 7 feet tall when she starts school. Oy.
I'm going to guess that's normal! DD grew about 9.5 inches but she actually dropped from 95% in height to 85 or 90% (can't remember what exactly).
CP 3/07 BFP 5/07 - Kylie born 2/08. BPF 2/09 - Alexandra born 10/09. TTC since 8/13 - diagnosed difficulty conceiving due to LP defect. Took vitamin B and Vitex Berry to help lengthen. BFP 2/14 - Missed M/C found at 8.5 weeks. D&C at 9w2d. Partial Molar Pregnancy. BFP 11/14
I'm not sure what's "normal", but DS was 18 inches at birth and 29 1/2 inches at his 1 year appt. The 50th percentile line on a baby growth chart looks like almost 10 inches exactly.
Re: Holy mother of giant babies-she grew 10 inches the first year!

Yay for growing babies, though!
