dh sent me a text 10 min ago that said "would it kill you to do a load of laundry today? i have no clean work clothes!" so i relpied with "i'm sorry baby! of course i can do some laundry!"

fast forward to just now....i gathered up all of his dirty clothes, put them in the bath tub, and filled it with water. i'll be damned if he talks to me like that. he can wash his own effing clothes. don't get me wrong, i don't mind doing his laundry. in fact, i'm home with our child it's the least i can do right? well not with that attitude!

you'd THINK that after being with me for 5 years he'd figure out that i don't take kindly to bullshizz like that. i guess he'll never learn!

And this is why my dh no longer asks me to do his laundry... He does his own...lol. Good for you! I have no issue doing it if they ask nicely, but really don't be a jerk about it.

Hahaha...I'm like this, too! ?My DH has a pair of brand new pants that are waiting in the laundry room to be ironed. ?He keeps reminding me that he would love to wear his new pants if I ever get around to ironing them. ?I'll do all kinds of housework...except ironing. ?Those pants have been hanging for weeks. ?How hard is it to iron pants??

OOOH that is funny! My H is a jerk but he doesn't ask me to wash his clothes. I'm so glad for that. Mine always wants me to make him stuff to eat so when I'm mad at him I do mean things like "accidentally" drop eggshells in his eggs and stuff.

LOL. I love the bathtub idea.

Usually if the clothes get to high off the hamper DH asks me if I am trying to make them a permenant fixture in the house. I have always done the laundry we just have an agreement that I get to it when I can.

Heck yeah - I would love to see his reaction! That kind of crap doesn't fly in this house either. I do all of the laundry since DH ruined two of my silk dresses a week after our wedding. Our rule is that I only wash what is in the hamper not what he has left laying on the floor of his closet. A few days ago I knew he was running out of jeans because they were all in a pile in his closet but refused to pick them up. He remembered when he wanted to wear his favorite J Crew jeans and that were at the bottom of the pile. Men!!

Hmm.. am I a wuss? I do ALL the laundry for the whole family, and fold it and put it away (which is the hard part). And I work FT and we have 2 kidsI did give hubby a little attidude yesterday about ironing though.He has to wear a dress shirt 4 days/week and he doesn't know how to iron. I hate ironing plus I can only do it when both kids are asleep b/c I am afraid my 2yo will pull the iron cord and get hurt, and if my 4 mo is awake usually have her in a front carrier while doing errands and that is dangerous to iron with! It is so hard to keep up with his shirts but I hate paying the dry cleaner to do something I can do. I told DH he should learn how to iron. I'm not holding my breath. he is wonderful though and I can't complain. There are things I never do nor do I ever want to learn how to do, like mow the lawn. Oh, DH will do laundry if he wants to wash his cycling clothes. Not sure why this is the exception.

Same here! Seeing as DH never gets around to putting his clothes away and they sit in a laundry basket, I can't tell what's clean or dirty! I do mine and DS's laundry and that's enough!

It's the way he said it that woulda pissed me off too! Maybe if he asked nicely it would've gotten done....
