Pregnant after a Loss

did you wash all of baby's clothes before?

when did you start washing your babies clothes? isn't this something I should do before she's born?  i was thinking that i would wash her onsies and any newborn outfits.  what did you wash them in- Dreft?

Re: did you wash all of baby's clothes before?

  • I have clothes and have already started washing. I want to wash them twice.

  • I washed everything as I got it and before I put it away. I use Crunchy Clean for all our laundry and it's great for sensitive baby skin. Better than Dreft even b/c it is enzyme free. And it's way cheaper then Dreft. You can order it here https://hyenacart.com/CrunchyClean/

Baby Bee Clean and French Lavender are my favorite scents so far.

  • Definitely recommend washing the onesies and the NB stuff. ?I would also suggest washing the 0-3 stuff. ?They're out of the NB stuff really quickly, and it's one less thing to do in those first couple of weeks.

We wash everything in the house in Tide Free. ?I figured it was best to switch the whole household over, since the baby comes in contact with all of our clothes as well (when being held, etc)?

  • I only washed some blankets and all my NB stuff. I just started washing some 0-3 stuff because most of her NB stuff is getting a little small :( Oh and I have been using Dreft because I got 2 HUGE ones from my shower that I want/need to use up.
  • I just washed enough for a few days (used Purex Free & Clear).  We knew she would be big, so we didn't want to wash everything and then not be able to return things if necessary.

And I think I waited until a couple weeks before my EDD to start washing...

  • We have washed all of the newborn stuff and the 0-3 stuff.  I used the same soap we use...All Free & Clear.  We do have some dreft but it is scented like baby powder and I worry that if the babies have really sensitive skin that it will irritate their skin.  So for now I'm using the free & clear stuff.

  • A friend of mine gave me three bags of clothes and it was mixed with all different sizes so I went ahead and washed them all along with other outfits and blankets I had received at that point.  I washed them all with All Free & Clear.  I have to now do another load with stuff I received at my shower this past weekend.
