Modern Diaper Service

I thought I've seen this post on here before, but couldn't find it, so I apologize for the repeat. Has anyone used Modern Diaper Service? If so, are you happy with the service and how do their diapers work? Do you need to buy extra covers and also use pins with them? They recommend 60 diapers/week for a newborn. Did this provide you with enough diapers?

 TIA

Re: Modern Diaper Service

  • we use them.  They are very good at talking through any questions that you have and helping you make the best choice for your family.  They supply prefolds only - you then buy a cover (either from them or elsewhere - I would suggest elsewhere, their covers are ok but not great) and a snappi (it keeps you from having to deal with pins!).  We rotate 2 covers although we should probably have more.  60 diapers/week has always been more than enough; if you need more, you just call MDS and they give you more in your next order.

  • I have also used MDS since DD was born & am happy with their service. They are consistant and on top of things. You can call & leave a message & if they don't call you back, they will just take care of whatever you were calling about. But if you do end up speaking to someone, they are extremely friendly & helpful. I plan on using their service until DD is potty trained, & anticipate that I will use their service when I have my second child.

I get my covers through MDS & I have 6 at a time usually (and they are velcro, you don't need pins). Though I would be open to trying out other covers. I do suggest keeping several covers on-hand though. You will have occasions that DC will have several blowouts in a short period of time.
