The pedi gave us the OK to start introducing whole milk but DH didn't ask him for tricks / tips to go about doing that. If push comes to shove or it looks like she's not tolerating whole milk well I'll call the pedi's nurse line. But in the mean time I thought I would consult Dr. Google, Dr. Books, and Dr. Nesties.
Any tips or tricks? Did you just kind of pour it into a sippy cup like "have at it, kid!" or did you start by mixing it in with formula? How did DC's belly react?
Re: XP: School me on introducing whole milk
Rylee WILL NOT take it in her bottle. No way... she refuses the whole bottle of formula/milk. So... I give her whole milk during meals (lunch breakfast and dinner) and she still gets formula (maybe 12-14 oz a day) at 3 times a day (sometimes down to 2). She is in the process of dropping down to two bottles right now, but she can't decide which one to drop.
So.... it took a a few days for her to like it, but now she loves it.

My LO took right to it. she loves it. she will take it out of a bottle or sippy cup. it has to be warm though, she won't drink cold milk yet. i thought the transtion was going to take a long time, but i was shocked. i didn't have any belly problems. we use the horizon organic milk with added DHA. hopefully it will go smoothly for you.
