Pls help--does teething cause a fever?

in Babies: 9 - 12 Months
daycare just called and DS has a 102.1 temp---he was fussy overnight and this morning.....no fever. But he's teething like crazy--just broke through (bottom teeth). Leaving to go and pick him up now.....but wondering if I should be worrying about something else??

    Teething can cause a fever, but that is a little high based on what my pedi told me and what I have read. ?Babies run high fevers though, so I wouldn't be overly concerned. ?That said, I would call the doc when you get home just to check in, it would suck if it went higher in the evening and the office was already closed.

    My pedi told me anything over 101 is not related to teething. Give him tylenol and if the fever doesn't improve, I would call the pedi.
