Hi ladies,
Since it seems like there have been a lot of introductions today, I will jump in. I've been a faithful lurker for awhile now and have been posting here and there so you may have seen me around. I decided that maybe I should introduce myself now before I've posted so much that I feel stupid for introducing myself. Since I am an avid googler (and lurker), I will try to avoid stupid questions.
My name is Kira and my DH is Bryan. We were highschool sweethearts and met in our local symphony where we both played the violin. We're both fairly serious musicians and were in the minority of younger people in the symphony, so we became best friends quickly. We dated for about 6 years before getting married this last January 3. Now I'm finishing my bachelor's degree in Speech and Language Pathology (LOVE it) and Bryan's also finishing his degree in Electrical Engineering and Music. We didn't feel a need to wait a long time to start TTC, so we're going to start trying at the end of this month! Good luck to everyone!
Re: Introduction from an avid lurker
Hi! Welcome.
An SLP! I'm a P.T.
Glad to have you here! GL!
I'm a PT too! Have good SLP friends....
small world!
I'm an outed lurker also!
Oh, and my DH and I are also high school sweethearts, and we also met in band...AND we got married 6 years and 1 day after we started dating...that's crazy how similar it is...
Oh and congrats on earning a degree soon, I just graduated in Dec...it feels awesome! You will love it.
I'm getting my Bachelor's in Speech Pathology and I love it too!
My husband and I just started TTC this month.
Good Luck TTC!
Awesome to meet everyone! It's also cool that there are so many SLPs and PTs here - I can't wait to join you at the practicing stage! My school's lucky and has a clinic where seniors get to have clients, but it's in no way as good as being out of school and in the the real practicing world!
Oh and thanks to those who commented on my siggy pic. That was a picture of Amy when she was about 3 months old when I first got her and was just under a pound! So small!! Oh and I don't really WASH her, just wipe both cats down with anti-allergen wipes occasionally. Allergies run in my family. Piper's her brother (named after an airplane cause DH is a pilot) and they just turned one yesterday! Both of these cats think they're people though and they're such sweethearts. I need to put a picture of Piper next to her - I just took the cutest one where he looks like he's trying to eat a dum dum. It's sooo funny!
