I can't get her to brush her teeth before bed

This just started about a week ago, she was happy to do it before that. Nothing works -we used to do it last thing before bed, then I tried to do it before books and said no books if you don't brush, or no Dora tomorrow, etc. I would like to try it maybe an hour before bedtime, but she always wants a snack on our way upstairs, and I never deny her b/c she's not a big eater. Hmph. Just another phase I hope?

yep, just when you think you've got them figured out. Maybe give her apples for the snack. Apples clean the teeth or something like that. I remember from 8th grade health class.

Good thought! And I try to give her just water but sometimes she wants milk....and you know when a 2 yo wants something......ay vey.

Did you take her shopping for her own SPECIAL toothbrush? That's what got my guys excited to brush. I also had them brush my teeth and in trn, I would brush theirs Big Smile

Jamaica- yes she has 3! And we just went and bought her a new Little Bear toothpaste. She's always brushed her teeth first, then let me brush them...she won't even go in the bathroom once I mention teeth brushing

Ugh, that is a tough one!! Most nights when DS is in the tub, I take a clean washrag and "brush" his teeth with that in the tub. Would she let you do that?
