Anyone have problems w/ Avent bottles leaking?

We used Avent bottles with my first son, and I don't remember having any problems with them, which is why we bought new ones for my second LO who is 3 weeks old. But I keep having problems with the bottle leaking all over my poor little guy! I pump and feed him BM through the bottle, and I work way too hard to have my "liquid gold" leaking all over the place! Anyone else have this problem??

    It takes a little to get used to. I also pump and it makes me sick when I see it spill out. Someone posted this link

    we only have the problem though when I over tighten it. Just tighten to the point where you can't screw it on more without effort. That solved out issues. We rarely now have a leaky one, maybe 1 out of 30 will leak and we just unscrewed, dry the threads and screw back on and it's fine.

    We do what the blog says and haven't had a problem since.

    great timing for this post!  DH just fed DD a bottle & came running upstairs (while I was pumping) whining bc it leaked all over - his shirt was seriously soaked, it was hilarious.  Thanks for posting & for the solution!

    He just left for the grocery and I had to call him to tell him I found a solution on my chatboard.  He now likes that I nest, which is wonderful : ) he finally knows how helpful nesting is!
