I make DD's food & am trying to offer a variety. So far she's had avocado, sweet potato, green beans, sweet peas, oatmeal, brown rice, plums, zucchini, butternut squash, apples.
I think I'll try cauliflower next?
I think we're going to try yogurt for breakfast soon.
When do you start offering chunks of stuff if they have no teeth?
We've avoided bananas b/c DD has been constipated. But if I eat one, she can gum on a little piece right?
Re: What foods is your 6-7 mo eating?
we just started yogurt today.. but he's eating all you are eating.. but zucchine. How do you make that?
He also started doing puffs.. not a fan though
Cool! I think she will like yogurt. The zucchini was easy. I cut it into slices & steamed it. Then pureed it with the peels on.
She won't put the puffs in her mouth. We've only tried twice though.
DD has only been eating solids for a little over a month so she's eating a smaller variety than your DD. So far she's had avocado, oatmeal, bananas, carrots, sweet potato, squash, apple and brown rice. I think next (in a couple of days) we'll introduce another veggie and then another fruit or maybe some chicken (a few days after that). Probably in a few weeks I'll start going with a little more texture.
DD eats oatmeal mixed with fruit for breakfast (she's had apples and pears). She's also had avocado, but didn't like it.
As for veggies, she's eaten sweet potatoes, green beans, peas, butternut squash, carrots and broccoli. The only one she really hated was green beans, although she didn't love the peas either.
She ocassionally eats mum mums and puffs to help her pinscher grasp and to help her learn to chew. She loves both of them! I recently bought some yogurt melts to try, but I think we're going to hold off on all dairy until 8 months.
