If you have high BS after eating lunch do you skip your afternoon snack? If not, what do you eat? I had 177 after eating what I knew I shouldn't. I'm hungry again but not sure what to eat.
If you're not on insulin (you can correct with insulin), I'd try to limit the carbs on the snack (maybe stick to a piece of string cheese - all protein, no carbs), and just keep testing every hour or two to make sure that it goes back down before your next meal.
I would do a lower carb snack like nuts or cheese...but I have to say - even when my numbers are elevated...I still eat whatever snack I brought with me. I can't help it! I'm usually hungry!
