the sippy cup??? We just started this several weeks ago, but all he wants to do is bite on the spout. We have tried 2 kinds of Nuby and 1 Born Free. Any advice?
I started with DS a couple days ago and he get it sometimes. Not quite consistently yet. We use the Gerber NUK ones they are laytex so they smush and it lets the water out
I've been offering both a staw cup and a soft spout one since 4mos to no avail. Then they both started leaking and annoying me so I ditched them and picked up a Gerber Sip n Smile. It is tilted a little so they don't have to tip it too far and the spout I noticed is more soft than the other I had. She figured it out right away.
I have to remember to put room temp water in it, though, or it's too cold for her and she'll just let it dribble out.
She wouldn't get it until I gave her the nuby and fed it to her like I feed her the bottle. Now she gets it but still can't tip it herself unless it's really full.
we tried several different brands. it took DD months to figure it out. Now she can drink from a straw so we are using straw cups and that seems to be going better.
I gave it to DD at about 6 motnhs and she took right to it. She is 8 months now and if I put it on her tray she picks it up and drinks when she wants some and then sets it back down. Presto! But bff introduced it to her DS at 6 months also and he still doesn't get it (he is 11 months now) . All babies are diff, just keep trying.
