Hi ladies, I don't post too much but definitely follow and post here and there. Well now I have a lot of time to get to know/type more often.
As of Tuesday I had to go directly from my growth scan to the hospital. ?I was 25w6d and my cervix went from 45 per my high risk doc to 8. ?Amniotic fluid is good, but they were very afraid my water was going to break.
If you pray, we could really use your prayers and support. ?If anyone else has been in a simular situation, I would love to hear your stories.
Thanks ladies, I love you guys.?
Re: Hospital Bedrest @ 26 wks until Delivery
I'm sorry to hear you're on bedrest.
I had a similiar situation. I went in for a normal appointment (had some contractions the night before) and they found that my cervix was funneling. I was put on hospital bedrest and given steroid shots. I was 24 1/2 wks.
I delivered a little over 2wks later. My daughter's foot and bag was in my birth canal.
I'll pray that you hold a little longer than me. But just to let you know that my babies are doing great right now. ((HUGS))
oh honey that sucks- i'm so sorry!! It's my big fear every time i go in for a scan... so sad it happened to you!
I will keep you in my prayers to keep on cooking those babies - and to manage to get by while you are in the hospital. Thank God for internet, huh? There is the new "high risk" board here with tons of bed rest girls on there- not sure if you have seen it - i'm sure it will be helpful for you.
make sure to have friends visit a lot and bring you good food
i know that helped me when i was on BR with my first.
I was on the internet a lot, I watched a lot of movies, read books, did crossword puzzles, talked on the phone, watched tv. I basically started a routine in the hospital which made my days go faster. The ladies on my floor hired a person to give pedicures and manicures one day, I got a massage every other day from the alternative medicine people (look into that for sure! - not sure which hospitals have programs like that), toured the NICU where my boys were (it was less scary when they went there), learned about what to expect when they were born, my husband took me on wheelchair rides around the hospital, friends brought food (until I was diagnosed with GD). Just pass the time. It WILL be worth it!!
