PP period... how much is too much?

warning - i am as high as a flippin kite on robotussin right now so sorry if this is kinda incoherent

ok - baby born in october - first PP period early january, second in late january, none in feb, and this one started on sunday

sunday - light brown spotting

monday - heavier brown flow

tuesday - heavy red flow

wed - heavy red flow

by heavy i mean going thru a pad everytime i pee, which is about 2 to 3 hours

it seems like an extreme amount, especially compared to what i had before pregnancy.. WDYT?

(other symptoms/relevant info - tuesday i felt miserable, achey, threw up once, bad headache/minor migraine, coughing, fever and chills - which is why im high on robotussin, and ive also taken a lot of headache pills... i know that all can thin the blood right? but still, normal?)

    I have not had my PP period yet, but maybe it could be a combination of being sick and medications?

    Having never been pregnant I cant vouch for PP Periods, however I know that my period gets about 100 times heavier and more brutal when I'm sick. It makes me more tired, more achey, more crampy and way way heavier and longer than  normally. Maybe that has something to do with it?

    I don't think there is anything wrong per se, but if it doesn't lessen by morning, I'd call your OB to check.

    From what I see online, soaking through a pad in an hour or less is when it becomes a problem.

    hmm i was just reading through pp bleeding stuff for myself.  It says bad things can happen even within the first year pp.

    If your soaking through that much and have a fever and such, i'd call hyour OB just to be sure
