I am so confused... how are they selecting the top 12? I put it on last night at the end and then caught the last 10 min. today, so I have no idea what's going on. :)

    another 3 will be picked tonite to total nine then they have a wild card round where 3 more from the ones sent home are picked by judges to come back

    The first 9 people were selected by the voters.  Out of the remaining 27 people who didn't make it, the judges selected their 8 favorites.  Those 8 will perform on the next show and America will vote and the top 3 will round out the 12.
