My MIL wanted to spend the evening with me and the kids (20 months and 7 weeks) as she's only in town for a week or so before heading back to Arizona.
I thought my 7 week old was going to be a bear, he was only catnapping today, always wanting to eat, just being fussy in general. I was bracing myself for this.
Lucky me, in addition to a cranky infant, my toddler comes home from daycare and vomits several times, including all over my mother in law. 2 baths, lots of tears, laundry, scrubbing the carpet...sigh...
Meanwhile, 7 week old is being fussy, looking to nurse and generally being difficult.
Right now, thankfully, both kids are asleep, my mother in law has gone home (in my clothes as hers are in my drier as we speak) and I'm bracing myself for a potential part two of vomit-Wednesday. I can't relax thinking that there is a very good possibility that my toddler is likely to have another vomit episode during the night.
Oh yeah, husband is out of town on a trip until Sunday. Weeee!
Re: looking for some empathy for my rough night...
I have to laugh because I had that week last wee incl DH being OOT! In the thick it sucks and you are a mess and want to scream CALGON take me away! After the evening feeding I had a drink and felt much better!
Good luck, you are not alone!
Mine are 21m and 10w so almost the exact same age difference.
***If diarrhea comes into play, Huggies Overnight diapers make a hug difference, so do beach towels on the bed/crib.
Oh my goodness! Hang in there. Hopefully the rest will help your toddler and the pukies are all gone! Kids are asleep---go get some rest!

I only have a 7 week old and I feel your pain to some extent. I was exhausted this morning from screaming DS all night while DH was at work 6pm til 6am. I'm taking him in to the doc tonight (as per myearlier post). It's hard when they aren't feeling well and I can't imagine having a toddler on top of that!
You have my sympathy! GL and I hope they feel better soon.
Oh my, yes, a thousand times yes! If only wasn't breastfeeding!
Thanks for the kind words, ladies.
