3 months pp and my back is killing me...

Anyone else still having back pain after 3 months? I don't know if it's carrying the extra weight around all day or what, but my lower back hurts so bad. Sometimes I can barely breathe. Who should I call about this? OB? Chiro? Help! It's getting to the point where it really hurts to pick up DD.

    My hips still hurt, 5 months PP (I was given an od on the epidural and my legs went flying about).  I've started going to a chiro, and it's helped considerably already.

    I do. I think its from carrying her and hunching over a lot. I would call your Chiro.

    I'm not 3 months yet but my back and sides really hurt...moreso when I walk (not far, just around the supermarket, etc).  I asked my OB and she said that the muscles that were used to hold up the baby are still sore because they were so stretched out (my DD was 10lbs 8ozs).  I have been going to chiro and massage, both help but I think my body just has to heal.  She also recommended PT.

    Carrying DD all day doesn't help I'm sure.

    Same thing happened to me!!! I was barely able to walk at one point! I ended up calling my primary care physician who referred me to a physical therapist. I have only gone twice so far and it has helped so much already! I hope you feel better soon I know it's miserable!

    I went to the chiro about 6 weeks pp for back pain. I have been fine since. I would try that first.
