Its not just McD. Trust. We had a Tyson plant in my hometown. I could tell you stories that would make you straight up vegan 4 lyfe. I was a vegetarian for a while and now only eat meat that my family grows/shoots.
  • but but...  the commercials say 100% beef?!?!

(oh, and there's no need for sources.  those high school kids don't wash their hands)

  • One of the million things that freak me out about myself is that I read "Fast Food Nation" and know all about the fecal matter, rat parts, and "flavoring" concocted by some guy in a lab in Jersey and occasionally I still eat at McDonalds.  WTF?
  • Great book.

Seriously folks.  I am sure even your organic chemical free meat or veggies are not as clean as you think.

  • Ok I may have just thrown up in my mouth a little bit. I had one yesterday cuz SOMEBODY (points finger) told me about a dang shamrock shake and I had to try it. So I got a burger too :(
  • Hasn't killed me yet. *cackles* The FDA actually approves a certain % of rat fecal matter as safe because it gets into like 75% of all food sources. Gross huh? Oh well...
  • Oh brother Confused

  • I nearly died (at age 5) because some dumb kid didn't wash their hands when prepping my food.  I have had long lasting health problems, a rough pregnancy, and was told not to have any more kids.  I still eat that crap because it tastes good and look at how many people don't get sick.

  • I know it is crap and I still eat it.  It tastes good.

  • honestly, what I don't see doesn't bother me.

I worked at McD's for 2 years and we DID wash our hands. We had a timer where everyone had to stop and wash their hands every 30 minutes, wear gloves, etc. Also, I worked mostly with fellow college kids....
  • Yeah. My son is covered in fecal matter, I'm sure. He had an awsome, and I'm mean AWSOME blow out right when I dropped him off at daycare. This was the kind that requires a bath, so you know...eh.

A report came out on the news awhile back that lemons as garnish in your soda/water ect at resteraunts are also covered in fecal matter. I still order diet coke with lemon and I still eat cheese burgers. Out of sight, out of mind? Or how bout: that which does not kill me, will only make me stronger?

    Confused

  • 11 years ago the day before Christmas eve I got horrible food poisoning from McD's ...I never went back. ?lol ?
