3 months PP and sex STILL hurts?

Ok, so I'm embarrassed to post this, but I don't know what to do. Everytime my DH and I have intercourse it hurts terribly. It hurts so bad that I dread doing it. It almost feels like there is something in there that is being pulled on or is in the way, if that makes any sense. But after the action I'm in no pain and feel fine. It's just during that is miserable. They only way to make it enjoyable right now is when I've had a few drinks. And I don't want this to have to be the only way we are intimate.

I might call the doctor, but I'm so embarrassed. I read about you girls who enjoy it so much more now and am so jealous. Please tell me there is hope. Oh, and I had a huge tear, not sure if that could have something to do with this too.

    Did you have stitches? I had a piece of tissue that healed wierd and the doctor had to put something on it to get it to go away. I jumped the gun the first time we had sex and couldn't finish. I gave it some time and it feels way better but not completely great. I can only do missionary, which is kind of boreing. But I would definitly call your Dr.

    Do you use lube?  PP hormones (even 3 months PP, especially if you BF) cause some serious bajingo dryness. 

    Other than that, I'm not much help.  We had sex 3 times in the 2 weeks after my 2 week pp appointment, and I haven't touched him since (I blame the PPD tho).

    at first, it hurt really badly for me... now it's back to good and enjoyable.  It took maybe 5-6 times after we started again for things to stop hurting...

    good luck!  If it doesn't get better soon, then you might want to check with the Dr... just in case.

    Yes, we use lube like it is going out of style. What sucks is we wait so long in between "sessions" because I don't want to do it (I'm talking a week or even two, poor guy). I'm wondering if we up the frequency that might help?

    I haven't even tried to have sex yet.  I am totally scared. My DD is going on 4 months, and we haven't been together since I was 23 weeks.  Yikes.  That's totally embarrasing to admit.  Oh well.

    I've done it twice and it hurt like hell both times.  Maybe the second time was a little better, but seriously not much.  We used a ton of lube too.  I hope it gets better, but I plan on asking my doctor to check out the goods down there at my post partum check up this week.
