Babies: 9 - 12 Months

The FDA is a joke.

and is so around the world. Just FYI. It's very well known here that we do NOT follow US FDA standards on anything. We get flack for delaying drug releases until they are proven effective and safe in our own tests.

If an article wants to take a stab at it, I'm alllll over it. It was a poorly written article that basically came away stating breast is best, not "the FDA is a laughing stock internationally because it harms babies and protects profits."

Hell the FDA still allows cytotec in deliveries when its NEVEr been approved as an induction drug and has rushed approval of drugs that have had brutal consequences. I don't know why the melamine thing surprises you. It's approved a myriad of other chemicals in your foods.

People get all freaky when I say that health canada has different standards. They say "we don't want our gov't in our business that much! STAY OUT OF OUR FOOD AND DRUGS GOVT!" and I laugh and laugh.

Re: The FDA is a joke.

  • Well I think Celine Dion and Maple Leaves are a joke!  That's right I said it!!! and I stand by it. Flame away!

  • FDA sucks.  In my industry, we've had our share of issues and I don't even deal with human-grade food!!!  They want their face in everything yet allow BS to occur surrounding it.  It's totally a numbers game.  Canada has the right thoughts on SOOOOOO much.

  • Well at least here in America we don't have to wait a month if we break our leg. Stick out tongue

Sooooo joking, in case the tongue doesn't tip you off...

  • Another uppity Canadian. You're all "everyone get's health care" and stuff, but can you go to walmart and buy a gun when you want? huh? Yeah betcha wish you lived here in the good 'ole USa now! ;)

oh and we want our gov't out of our food, but lots of people think they should still be in my uterus.

If I break my leg it doesn't cost me 10 grand to have it set...

  • LOL that is true. When I broke my knee I camped out in the ER for 5 weeks. The line up outside the big hospital igloo was so long I had to paddle home on an ice floe. My mother was happy to see me after a month of being away.

    Not a flame but:

It seems to be only the over 50 set that will still pay to see Celine and I think there is now a pre-requisite you must be from Quebec as well :)

Also we Canadians gave up on the Leafs a LONG time ago, so no harm done...

Will you guys take me Canadian bowling and feed me Kraft Dinner when I bring Gracen up to go to Degrassi? Pretty please? And can we drink Sunny D from square containers O PLEASE O PLEASE O PLEASE!?

My DH drove up to Canada one night for some Kraft Dinner. He bought all of it and brought it back to Wyoming lol.

  • you do know they sell kraft here, right?

and I heart BNL - seen them three times in concert, but the latest one and album kinda sucked. :(

    Agree.

Kraft Dinner=Kraft Macaroni and cheese. Ketchup must be added by the consumer anyway.

And I have only been to one BNL concert, in Florida, and that was in 2004. Best concert I have ever been to. I PPH Steven Page. My husband relished telling me he was busted for coke.

They don't really have a "lead singer"...much like the Beatles. And no, I am not comparing BNL to the Beatles. And it was bound to happen sometime, they have been together since the early 90's.

This is the second reference I've seen to this and I have to ask - what's Canadian bowling?

Its the second reference by me lol. Its 7 pin with a ball like the size of a softball? And the Kraft Dinner my DH got was not Mac and Cheese, it was all different flavors.
