Pregnant after a Loss

Are you sure they are not just floaters you are seeing? I get floaters all the time during pg and for a few months after, but the "stars" are totally different!

Re: Pinkwedding05

  • What's a floater?  What I see are a bunch of flashes of light for about 10-15 seconds at a time.

  • floaters are when something just moves across your eye...usually a dark shadow so you are definitely seeing stars!

Are they talking about delivering you early? Sounds like you are getting close enough/

  • I used the 3rd tri post below to air my crazy talk about inducing.  Dr.A. is really laid back and my bp isn't totally out of control yet (sitting around 140/90).  He was concerned about seeing stars though so he ran my PE labs again on Monday and they were perfect and I'm not spilling any protein.  I'm just concerned because he will be on vacation during my 38th week and I'm worried that I might actually develop pre-e while he's gone.
  • Yeah, I would be worried too if my doc was out of town...is Dr. A just an ob or an MFM? I find that my MFM is so much more chill about stuff than my ob. Just keep asking him about it...tell him you are stressed over it.
  • He's an OB and he has no problems shooting me down ;).  I asked for water pills after delivery and that also got a big NO.  I haven't seen a MFM since 24w or so.

When you check your bp at home, have you been resting for awhile?

  • Sometimes. I just depends. I have a hard time sitting still. LOL! I've decided to start taking them sitting on the couch. I'm much more relaxed there then at the dining room table. I cannot wait for this little girl to get here. My stress levels are through the rooff!
